Cherry Lane Nursing Center is among the finest institutions in the country. Our medical director and our director of nursing oversee an extensive staff of highly skilled professionals. Physical and occupational therapists utilize state-of-the-art therapeutic techniques to help residents increase their mobility, strength, endurance, coordination, and to alleviate pain. Our nurses work to improve our residents' quality of life and assist them in restoring their highest level of independence. Social workers, dietitians, medical technicians, recreation counselors and others work together to develop a program unique to each residents' needs. Below is a break down of some of our services:
THE FACILITY - Our exceptional and modern facility with its beautiful landscaped grounds provides a solace for residents to relax and visit their friends and family. Both our private and semi-private rooms are spacious and each room is light, airy and well furnished. Common areas at Cherry Lane Nursing Center include our large and handsome dining room, visiting areas, and beauty/barber shop.
SECURITY - Every resident's room is equipped with a nurse call system. This gives our residents the assurance that help is close at hand. In addition to the nurse call system, exits are secured and the building is protected from fire by smoke and heat detectors.
DINING - Selective menus and special diets are prepared according to a physician's orders and are supervised by a registered dietitian. Special dinners, featuring residents' favorite meals, are a popular occasion. The activity and dietary departments coordinate these dinners, as well as special holiday celebrations.
THERAPIES - A professional staff of physical, occupational and speech therapists are available to foster the resident's rehabilitation and allow for maximum functioning. Therapies are provided as prescribed by the resident physician.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES - Dental, laboratory and x-ray services are available through local agencies, as well as mobile units for on-site testing and evaluation. Optometry, podiatry and psychiatry services are also available. Cherry Lane Nursing Center has a common goal - to provide the best in quality care by making sure residents' needs are given top priority.
